Annapurna's was founded in 1992 with the sole aim of providing Torontonians with the very best in Indian sweets and savories. Over the past 12 years Annapurna's has developed a reputation for making world-class mithais and sweets. Over time the Annapurna's selection of sweets has evolved into the current menu - offering customers a larger variety including sweets, namkeen, and savories.

   

Annapurna's - Yesterday & Today

In April of 1992, Annapurna's opened it doors of the main store located in Scarborough, Ontario Canada. The store and attached kitchen produced all the sweets and savories for the new mithai store. As patrons began visiting the store basic word of mouth lead to the immense popularity of the store.

Annapurna's expanded the menu of sweets by adding a larger variety of mithai, and Bengali sweets. On the weekends, the store provided food items including Channa Bhatura and Chaat.

In order to provide quality sweets to customers in the GTA as well as other parts of Ontario, a number of satellite stores were opened for a short period of time. Customers can also order sweets and have them shipped to their homes, or as gifts for special events.

Annapurna now supplies sweets to restaurants, and shops so that customers can enjoy high quality sweets everywhere! Internet ordering for gifts, and personal orders is being developed that will allow customers to order mithai right from this site!
